This quality 3 hour ocean adventure is a great chance for kids and parents to have fun learning about the amazing wildlife of the Queen Charlotte Sounds.
Our Education Officers begin the experience by preparing students for the day’s adventure with a short introduction & educational presentation. We then head off on the ‘Ecoranger Adventure’. Each child will be supplied with a ‘Species Checklist’ and as we cruise through the Queen Charlotte Sounds, we will endeavour to see as many species on that list as possible. As we encounter rare and interesting wildlife, our education officers will share with you fascinating facts and information. With the enthusiasm and excitement flowing, we will discuss the threats to these species and what we can do to help protect and conserve these fantastic creatures. After morning/afternoon tea on the boat and a fun filled 3 hours, our newly certified Ecoranger’s are returned to Picton and presented with a certificate of completion.

What a fabulous afternoon with a super cool school, happy little Hector's Dolphins, curious NZ Fur Seals, friendly Blue Cod, loads of seabirds and even a few land birds at Blumine Island!! No better way to learn about the world than to see it up close and personal hey! Thanks for joining us Apiti School and another big thanks to our trainee guides who helped with the photography!
